Season 112 - Clash of Countries - Winner Announcement !!!

Clash of Countries – Season 5 – Winner Announcement !!! For various reasons, the Clash of Countries scoreboard has not been updated as frequently as usual this season. On day 8 Team Denmark had a comfortable lead of 20 points down to Team England in second plays. However, Denmark only managed to score 17 points on the last six days of the season, England onboarded an extra player and managed to add 37 points. Unfortunately for England, that was one point short of a draw and two points away from their first ever victory.

Team Belgium took the last podium position with 63 points with some distance to Team Sri Lanka in fourth place. The small teams did very well this season. Team Australia with only four players managed to score 29 points – the same amount as Team India with 7 players. Team Germany with two players managed to score 13 points, the same amount as Team Serbia's three players. Team France, a team of one managed, to score 9 points, the same amount as Team Scotland with two players. Similarly, Team USA’s one-woman army scored as many points as the two guys from Norway. This just goes to show that while there is strength in numbers, having knowledgeable and diligent players can be just as important.

At the end of the season, the final score looks as follows:

Team Quizzers Points Average Denmark 17 112 (+17) 6.6 England 14 (+1) 111 (+36) 7.9 Belgium 9 63 (+17) 7 Sri Lanka 10 49 (+8) 4.9 Australia 4 29 (+12) India 7 29 (+5) 3 Germany 2 13 (+4) Serbia 3 13 (+1) France 1 9 (+3) Scotland 2 9 (+1) USA 1 8 Norway 2 8 (+2) Sweden 1 6 (+1) Japan 1 4 Holland 1 3 Ireland 1 3 Philippines 1 3 Romania 1 3 Bulgaria 1 2
