Day 3 Update
Four additional teams joined since yesterday which means that 14 teams are now competing in this season’s Clash of Countries. Denmark is in front, but it is almost more interesting to see that Belgium is holding on to second place. However, they do this by the narrowest of margins as England has the same amount of points but an inferior average. It should be said, that all of Belgium’s ten players have 3 out of 3 possible points – the season is heading for a tie-break for sure... 😊 India spent the last 24 hours recruiting players – six to be exact, which is more than any other team – and they are now in front of Sri Lanka. The Lankans are not used to finding themselves so far down the tables, so it will be interesting to see if they can make a comeback... The season is still young after all. Team Quizzers Points

So... Denmark is in the lead (yawn), but much more excitingly, England has regained the second place, now with a lead of 12 points down to Belgium in third place. With the history of strong English averages combined with their superior numbers, it looks like a tall task for the Belgians to overtake the English again. Half way through the season, Denmark is still in front, but only by 19 points. England usually has a strong finish, so nothing is decided yet. Belgium is still third and Sri Lanka and India are both trying hard to scrape enough points together to finish in fourth place. Five days ago at the half season point, Denmark had a relatively comfortable lead, 19 points in front of England in second place. With two days to go, that lead has shrunk to just seven points – nothing comfortable about that.
