Season 101 - Day 13 of 14

Birds

The Spheniscus mendiculus is the only penguin to live north of the equator. It lives on an archipelago that is known for its many endemic species.
The islands are situated in a tropical climate, but the penguin is able to survive the high temperatures because of the cool waters of the Humboldt and Cromwell Currents.
The penguin is named after the archipelago where it lives.
What is the English name for this Penguin of the North?
