The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a seminal work of fiction that left it's marks in many places.
One of those places or rather two of them were the first free Web-based multilingual translation applications in 1995 and 1997.
Both were named after the (entirely fictional) animal Arthur Dent put in his ear to help him understand all languages in the universe.
The Yahoo version is defunct since 2012 but the other version still exists in the shadow of Google Translate.
What name, with some biblical origins, did those translation applications have in common?
