Painters

Born in 1841, she was a student of Camille Corot in the 1860s and she exhibited for the first time in 1864 at the Salon de Paris. In 1874, she took part at the first impressionists exhibition.
She was the sister in law of the highly influential french Impressionist who painted "The Luncheon on the Grass" and was called one of " les trois grandes dames" alongside Mary Cassatt and Marie Bracquemond by Gustave Geffroy.
