Season 147 - Day 12 of 14

Tabletop Games

What is the name of the tabletop football game invented by Peter Adolph shortly after World War II in which players simulate association football by flicking miniature players with their fingers?
It is played on a large cloth playing field called a "pitch", with teams of miniature football players mounted on smooth round bases.
World Cups and European Championships are governed by The Federation of International Sports Table Football (FISTF). The next World Cup will be held in Tunbridge Wells, England in 2024.
The game in question is not to be confused with the slightly older and simpler game called Newfooty.
