International Treaties and Agreements

The United Nations Climate Change Conferences (COP conferences) are yearly conferences where the UN member states assess the progress in dealing with climate change.
The COP conferences were initially formed to negotiate and establish legally binding obligations for developed countries to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions following the 1992 international treaty known as the Kyoto Protocol.
