Seawson 164 - Day 5 of 14

Graphic Design

This widely used sans-serif typeface, originally named Neue Haas Grotesk, was developed in 1957 by Swiss typeface designers Max Miedinger and Eduard Hoffmann.
It was influenced by 19th century German and Swiss typeface designs, such as Akzidenz-Grotesk, and is known for its neutral appearance and versatility in various design applications.
In 1960 the font was renamed to a word that is almost identical to the Latin word for Swiss, to capitalise on Switzerland's reputation as a centre of ultra-modern graphic design.
What is the name of this popular font?
