Movie History

Which set of industry guidelines, officially known as the Motion Picture Production Code, governed American movies from 1930 to 1968?
These guidelines imposed strict moral restrictions on film content, including the depiction of explicit violence, sexual content, and the portrayal of criminal activities in a positive light.
The Production Code was finally abandoned in 1968 and replaced with the MPAA film rating system.
