Islam

In Islam, what is the collective term for the fundamental acts of worship, considered obligatory for all Muslims, that represent the core beliefs and practices of the faith?
These practices include the declaration of faith, daily prayers, giving alms to the needy, fasting during the holy month of Ramadan, and making a pilgrimage to Mecca for those who are physically and financially able.
They are central to both Sunni and Shia denominations, though referred to differently in some Shia traditions.
