Landmarks
Completed in 1762 to a design begun by Nicola Salvi, this monumental Baroque fountain depicting Oceanus standing atop a shell-shaped chariot drawn by two sea horses famously served as the backdrop for Anita Ekberg's midnight wade in Federico Fellini's 1960 film La Dolce Vita.
Today, visitors traditionally toss a coin over their shoulder into its waters to ensure a future return to the Eternal City.
