Season 131 - We Have A New Champion !!!

Dhruv Sharma hit the Goldie Locks Zone of questions this season with an average difficulty ticking in at 51. On top of that, several quizzers have mentioned to me how much they enjoyed this set, so great work Dhruv, for giving everyone the right amount of fun and challenge this past season.

With a medium difficulty level, it is always interesting to see if anyone will get a perfect season. Well, this time, not only one Qweep, but three managed to go through the entire season without a single incorrect answer. That meant that David Nadora, Hasini Minuvanpitiya and Seoan Webb were facing each other in a tie-break. The topic...female winners of the Nobel Prize in Medicine.

David was first out of the gates with six correct answers. Hasini quickly followed with 7 correct answers putting her in the lead. Seoan was less quick. In fact, his answers came in past the deadline, but since the deadline is there to give me enough time to write this post and I had yet to write it, I allowed it. Therefore, Seoan could still steal Hasini’s first ever Quizzypedia trophy right out of her hands. Howeever, Seoan “only” managed to submit six correct answers which means that Hasini is indeed our new champion. To be honest, I think that being able to come up with six names on this list makes David and Seoan champions too, but we can only have one winner and it is, by a hair’s breadth Hasini. Congratulations on an excellently played season and your first QP trophy!
