Season 105 was an easy round. In fact, I think it was among the top 3 easiest seasons we have ever had – the average difficulty was 57 which is much higher than a regular season.
Does that mean that it was a bad set of questions? By no means!. Eight players did manage to get 13 points, but if you look a little closer at the scoreboard, those eight players had their one wrong answer on five different days. The way I interpret this is, that the individual questions might not have been so difficult, but the spread of the questions made the entire set difficult just the same.
The other advantage of a set like this is that a lot of quizzers are within reach of the title until the very end. In fact, 23 quizzers had 10 points or more on day 14, so the suspense was high way into the second week of the season. Therefore, in my book, this is what a very good set of questions looks like. So, thank you for supplying us with an excellent set, Marion. If I ever wore a hat... I most certainly would tip it to you.
As a little curiosity, I can tell you that your least favorite question (according to the ratings) came on day 4 (Movie Stars) and your favorite question fell on day 8 (Pop Stars) - I suppose you guys like pop music better than pop corn movies...
Okay, now back to declaring a winner of the season. As just mentioned, eight quizzers managed to finish the entire season with just one wrong answer. I think that deserves a special mention. Therefore, I would like to congratulate the following quizzers on a season well played: Dorian Willems, Hasini Minuvanpitiya, John Robinson, Kathryn Hutchinson, Kirsten Werther Melchiorsen, Lars Bo Friis, Niels Søndergaard, Phil Denman.
