WE HAVE A NEW CHAMPION !!!
Christmas is usually the season of giving... but not this year. Season 112 turned out to be very hard with an average difficulty of 43. As you will see from the tables below, the season was harder than expected, because my hard-o-meter setting was off several times. Day 4, 7, 12 and 14 were all a great deal more difficult than anticipated. So if you are feeling a little grumpy this December, blame me (the Grinch) for not finetuning the questions, so the difficulty was right. And do thank Amy Tyro, for letting us have a great (and hard) set of questions.
And now it is time to reveal the champion. No one managed to get a perfect season, but a few quizzers came close. Marion and Duncan both got 12 points and for a long time it looked like the champion would be found through a tie-break, but Bob Thompson wanted it differently. With a late correct answer on the last day of the season, Bob managed to get to 13 points. It turns out Bob had a (Christmas) card up his sleeve. Bob is a quizmaster himself and he has made several Christmas quizzes with variants of many of the same questions Amy cooked up for us, so he didn’t have to look too hard in his Christmas hat for the answers. So long story short - Bob is our new champion. Congratulations. Please give him a big round of applause!
