Season 126 - We Have A New Champion !!!

Season 126 was difficult. This was not wholly unexpected, but with an average difficulty of 45 it was still four points lower than predicted. When that is said, no questions were impossible. In fact, only the last two questions dipped below a difficulty of 20 (which was planned) and only an additional three questions had difficulties between 20 and 30. What does this mean? That our quizmaster this round, Kevin de Smet, managed to supply us with a set of questions with a very big range topic-wise. So, kudos to Kevin for making an enjoyable, yet challenging set of questions. I hope to see you return as quizmaster again someday. With a set of questions like this, no on managed to get a perfect season, but two players came close. Last season’s champion David Nadore and Season 117 champion Dhruv Sharma both got 13 points and they had to go head-to-head in the tie-break. The topic this time was the different sports at the 2016 Paralympic Games. David named 13 out of 21 sports, but Dhruv outdid him by correctly identifying 16 sports. And that can only mean one thing... Dhruv is our new champion. This is Dhruv’s second championship. Please give him a big round of applause. The answers to the final three days of the season are: _________________________
